The DN15~DN300 Industrial Pipeline electromagnetic Flow Meter
Sewage FlowMeter is specifically designed for industrial
applications, particularly in sewage systems. It features a
stainless steel watchcase with increased thickness, providing
durability and resistance to harsh environments. The connecting
flange is a high-pressure flange capable of withstanding pressures
up to 42MPa, ensuring reliable operation under demanding
conditions.
This flow meter consists of two main components: the sensor and the
converter. The sensor utilizes electromagnetic induction based on
Faraday's law to accurately measure the volumetric flow rate of
conductive liquids with a conductivity greater than 5μS/cm. It
functions as an induction meter, making it suitable for measuring
the flow of conductive media.
In addition to measuring the volume flow of conductive liquids,
this electromagnetic flow meter can also handle challenging flow
conditions. It is capable of measuring the volume of liquid-solid
two-phase flows, such as liquid suspensions, corrosive liquids,
slurries, and pulp. It can handle strongly corrosive substances
like acids and alkalis, as well as pulp and paper pulp.

Electromagnetic flowmeters are widely used in sewage, fluorine
chemical, production water, tap water industry, medicine, steel and
many other aspects. Due to the principle, it can only measure
conductive liquids.

The measurement principle is based on Faraday's law of
electromagnetic induction.
As shown in the figure below, the two electromagnetic coils at the
upper and lower ends generate a constant or alternating magnetic
field. When the conductive medium flows through the electromagnetic
flowmeter, it will cut the magnetic field line, and an induction
will be generated at this time. The electromotive force is detected
by the two measuring electrodes.
The magnitude of this induced electromotive force is proportional
to the flow rate of the conductive medium, the magnetic induction
intensity of the magnetic field, and the width of the conductor
(the diameter of the pipe measured by the flowmeter). The flow rate
of the medium can be obtained by calculation.
